Poor Suzuki. Even as it tries to make a graceful exit from the U.S. market, they get mired in the latest round of General Motors recalls.
Suzuki will be recalling 184,244 GM-made cars, sold as the Suzuki Forenza and Reno, but originating as the GM-made Daewoo Lacetti. Automotive News reports that the recall is related to a faulty part in the daytime running lights that could overheat and catch fire.
Suzuki’s U.S. auto operations filed for bankruptcy in late 2012, with the plan approved in early 2013.

Bad news for the owners of the remaining 24 Renos and 36 Forenzas still on the road.
None of which have any unbroken door handles.
…and Toyota’s recall mania hit GM — pity poor Pontiac as it was trying to gracefully end its business and got roped into recalling Toyota Matrix sold as Pontiac Vibes…
Oh never mind…
That’s what poetic justice looks like. GM’s friends in this corrupt regime tried to assassinate their competition and they had to deal with the fallout. Thanks for pointing this detail of the NHTSA recall farce out to me.

That was fantastic. General Motors: Why walk through the valley of death when you can drive?
I would paraphrase it: “New GM is alive and old GM is dead” or “Old Bin Laden is dead and new Bin Laden is alive (Syria/Lybia/Benghazi/…/…)” or “Old Cold War is dead and new Cold War is alive”.
