I was worried that the Jay Rockefeller article was about giving even MORE power to make cars worse (in terms of style and engine options, mostly) to agencies like CAFE, but fortunately it’s in response to the GM ignition switch issue.

Every time I see a pic of Idi Amin, I think back about 34 years ago when I tossed a bum out of the casino I worked at, and he ran onto Main St in Vegas, and began screaming at the top of his lungs, “IDI AMIN DA DA!” over and over again, while trying to get into cars as they passed through the intersection of Main and Fremont St. Two cops drove up and grabbed him and put him into the back of their patrol car and drove away. I always wondered why he started screaming “IDI AMIN DA DA!”, and what happened to him. And it still makes me laugh.
