For some reason, we at TTAC expected that the Dodge Charger Hellcat would debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. We were wrong.
According to multiple sources, Dodge brand boss Tim Kuniskis told a Detroit radio station that an announcement would be made about a new performance model, which would debut at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
With a supercharged V8 Charger in FCA’s 5-year plan, and all but confirmed by the SAE, a Charger Hellcat seems like a sure thing.

Big Truck has a first class ticket.
You have no idea how I feel.
I just watched Jay Leno’s HELLCAT video and I couldn’t stop smiling.
It’s nice to see the Dream Cruise getting this kind of product release.
They’ve been hinting pretty hard that it would show up at Woodward. The Dodge/SRT/Chrysler corporate social media feeds seem to have gotten very interested in Chargers and Super Bees (new and old) over the last week or so, so it’s clear that the Charger’s turn in the spotlight is coming.
Y’all can park on my lawn for the Dream Cruise if you want. All of us that live in the Woodward Corridor of Oakland County flee this time of year. It would take me 30 minutes to cross Woodward to get groceries.
With all the positive buzz and press these Hellcats had been getting, I am going to hold out for the inevitable Durango Hellcat. Imagine the possibilities, Hellcat will be synonymous as AMG. Can’t wait for Caravan Hellcat, it’s gonna be a beast!
