You can check it out here. It’s not nearly as dramatic as the original. I guess when your client base is mostly oil wealth and the newly rich you don’t get to take too many chances on the styling, eh?

I actually admire the British as a global force for human improvement every bit as much as I admire America.
But both our countries are, as the Limeys say, past it. Both are victims of 3rd world creep and our overly-humane refusal to deal with that.

You’re comparing the old Lagonda to the Chrysler TC by Maserati. There was a bit of a resemblance there. The new Lagonda (click the link) looks Ford-based. I wonder if it’ll have an eekoboost engine?

It looks kinds like what I was hoping Mercedes would do with the current-gen S-Class in the redesign. In fact, it does sort of look like a swoopier S in the face…
2015 Charger with a different grill.
Because I’m a ‘merican, the Charger looks much better. This is a bad copy of a DB9 front end bolted to a Chrysler 300. Or a Late model 7 Series front end with a little extra grill space Sawzalled out, and bolted to the same 300.
In short, its bland and will only be purchased by rich Sheiks who are required to “Cover Up” their beautiful car. Can’t have anyone drooling over a DB9 now can we……
I think it looks great. Wish I could afford one. Loved the original too.
That front end style is getting way too much use.
Are you kidding? It hasn’t even trickled down to the subcompacts yet! Copycat styling is alive and well, as ever, in the auto biz. If something different sells like hotcakes, this front end affectation will go away, but not before.

The original was pretty ridiculous even for the time so I think they’ve gone more mainstream.
Yeah the new one is nothing special to look at but it’s not as outright ugly as a Panamera….so there’s that I guess.

If I squint enough the overall proportions and features are very attractive. Itails that ruin it for me. Hood, roof, trunk height, all nice. Character line, headlights, grill, wheel arches; completely ruining it.
I’ll take mine with a set of handcrafted 26 inch DUBS. And what are the specs on the subwoofer?
The problem with AML’s styling is that they hit a home run (more appropriately, “batted a century”) in the mid 90s with the DB7. They’ve been afraid to go back to bat ever since, so they keep re-releasing the same design.
This new Lagonda might look OK in person, but it’s not really a step into the future of auto design like the old one was. pity.
I love it, but not as an Aston Martin. That right there is a 2015 Crown Victoria.
This looks like an American full size car from 1978 to the early 90s. With all those headlights it could be mistaken for a sedan version of National Lapoon’s Vacation truckster. Does resemble a 1979 thru 91 Crown Victoria. Maybe rectangular shaped cars are coming back or this is a retro 80s car.
The front and rear look nice, but the side profile is way too long and boat-like
