Want to know where Toyota might go in the near future for the crossover segment? The C-HR Concept as seen above might be a clue.
According to CarScoops, the three-door concept combines “a bold new design language with an agile, engaging driving experience and a Hybrid powertrain,” though not much else is known beyond the production version having 3- and 5-door variants, and being positioned beneath the RAV4.
The publication noted that an Auris-based test mule similar in shape and size to the C-HR Concept had undergone testing somewhere in Europe this July.

Looks like an FR-S/CUV…
Striking another mighty blow in the battle against occupant space.
No room inside, but enough pointless ground clearance to strap them underneath. This makes my head hurt.
LOL! This.
The latest aftermarket craze… sliding Tummy Racks!
It looks to me like Toyota is going for the ‘handlebar mustache’ look on their new designs, though I’ll bet they think it looks feline. Also, that high ground clearance on an on-road car (would you really take that thing down a logging trail?) is both unsafe and uneconomical as air getting under the car causes more drag AND would work to lift the car off the road at high speed, making it easier to lose control.
The size is hardly an issue if it’s aimed at singles and couples without families. If the thing sat at a reasonable height off the road, four to five inches instead of eight to nine inches, it would look much better and probably be a lot safer and more efficient.
“the ‘handlebar mustache’ look”
It just needs a couple giant buck teeth where the C-HR is.
I could gopher that.
That front-end, call it handle-bar mustache or whatever, it very, very much language borrowed from the current Renault look.
At least it doesn’t look like a Juke.

Somebody get me an SX4 badge and a screaming eagle decal!
Well, JDM sake must be stronger than the export variety, perhaps has a dollop of Mt Fuji Celestial Mushroom essence.
Burp.
