Everybody wants to rule the world one way or another, but forever? Not if you’re Elon Musk.
Per HybridCars, the CEO of Tesla stated in an interview with Auto Bild that while he would never leave the company, he would step down as its leader within the next three to four years, through the production of the Model 3.
As for Tesla itself, Musk said the automaker did fail three times, and burned through its cash to nil, thanks to the fallacies of using the Lotus Elise as an inexpensive foundation to launching a vehicle, and depending upon the powertrain by AC Propulsion to move it. He also proclaimed that he should have been the company’s CEO from the outset, marking the delay as one of his greatest regrets.
As for where he sees himself in the future, Musk says he’d like to go to Mars for a while, return to Earth, then return to Mars in his mid-70s to die under the blue sunset.
Today Tesla’s stock tanked, film at eleven
“Everybody wants to rule the world…”
My most favorite Tears For Fears song. It’s excellent in every way!
Nah, Elon heard that Cadillac is hiring
Nah, they’re just mowing to New York, New York. To build expensive cars some time after it has been eclipsed as a financial center b y New york, Mars.
Elon wants to move to Mars, where the low gravity and a thin atmosphere makes it easier for Teslas to compete with ICEs.
It would be newsworthy if he declared his intention to stay for life. This isn’t news.
It would be fun to figure the formula for determining how many extra clicks a story or headlined blog post gets when it’s about “Elon Musk” when compared to other auto execs, or IT CEOs.
Yup, I hear Mars is nice all year round.
What was that movie where Arnold said “I vant to go to Maahrz.”
That’s what he said when Maria caught him with the maid
It’ll be hard to oversee Tesla when he’s Mars’ first president.
The X model is again delayed, the S model may have an inventory problem due to slowing sales, the company has never made a profit from manufacturing cars, and now Mr. Musk hints his days as company head might be nearing an end. Has anyone checked to see if he has sold his own Tesla shares yet? It would be fun to know who much of the current share price is based on his role as CEO.
I suspect that Musk’s end game is batteries, not cars.
I suspect that his end game is politics, not batteries or cars.
