Can’t wait until New York to see the 2016 Chevrolet Spark? These leaked photos should do.
AutoGuide reports the new Spark, set to bow at the 2015 New York Auto Show in early April, will get its looks from the Cruze, and feature the brand’s signature face. The compact will be underpinned by the same platform the Opel Karl will wear when it hits the ramp at Geneva next month.
Aside from the above, the Spark will remain similar to the outgoing model as far as dimensions go, and will retain the former’s C-pillar-integrated rear-door handles. More details are likely to come closer to showtime.

At first glace I thought someone clipped the front fender.
I’m pretty sure it is, the light even looks busted.
I think that might be just how it looks (yuck). If you check both photos, the fender creases and folds are identical.
Why couldn’t they shrink the size of those headlights? makes the car look cartoonish, front fender looks the same from both sides, bad design element.
Looking at the front view, I’d bet there’s some aero foiling for the side mirrors built into the headlight shape, and that it’s easier to mold that shape in plastic than to stamp it in steel.
If it had four doors it would look like a Suzuki Aerio.
The current and future Spark have four doors.
Yeah, looks like the back door handle is in the c pillar, like the current car. Other than that, and the corporate Chevy face, it is pretty much an Opel Karl/Vauxhall Viva.
That looks like… a Mitsubishi.
Same narrow, tall, and stubby shape as the Mirage hatch. Not surprising, as they are direct competitors.
I was thinking more Kia-Yundai, which the Mitsubishi Colt sorta copied too.
The nose looks a lot longer than the current one. Kind of a shame; there’s a “cute” to the current Spark that’s appealing.
Given its looks, I could’ve waited forever to see it. Happily.
All those ugly creases… what a terrible design. The vehicular equivalent of social housing.
LOL, what a great analogy!
