This might be the 2016 Hyundai Elantra sedan, set to launch in South Korea next month.
AutoGuide reports the image was posted by Korean online publication auto.hankyung, showing the Elantra’s Sonata-influenced styling and new headlamps with LED accents.
For the North American market, the Elantra GT has already been revealed, but not the standard Elantra. A Hyundai representative says the above is likely a local market prototype, and to expect the upcoming Elantra early in 2016.

The 2016 Elantra GT is just a mild update of the current GT, while this is the all new Elantra
Based on the spy shots I’ve seen, it’s practically mid-sized. I’m sure it will trump the current Elantra’s status as one of the roomiest compact sedans on the market.
Technically the government already classifies the Elantra as midsize. A few other “compact” sedans also get classified midsize
I hope they don’t ruin/dilute it like they did with the Sonata. The Elantra is the best looking car in its class by an appreciable margin IMO. If not for the higher prices, worse performance and ugly interior I would have got one over my 09 Civic for sure. It looks better every time I see it, especially in Limited trim.
I think this pic shows that the Sonata styling was a fluke – I read somewhere that the Korean customers found the old Sonata too flamboyant. The new Tucson looks very nice, as does this Elantra. I’m optimistic.
I see it stall has that hideous crease along its sides.
Hey, the natural place for a body crease to terminate on a vehicle is the MIDDLE OF THE TIRE. Duh.

I think we knew this was coming from Hyundai. It looks just like the Toyota Corolla and Camry.
Yeah, especially those ‘fang’ auxiliary lights. Not too bad looking. I like the grille better than the current model..
How does this look anything like the Corolla or Camry?
Totally in line with the Euro-model Hyundais.
