Want to see the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro? You’ll have to wait until mid-May, when Chevrolet reveals the vehicle in Detroit.
The brand is inviting 1,000 fans to witness the unveiling in Belle Isle, which also includes a meet-and-greet with those behind the new Camaro, Camaro-only parking for owners, hot laps in a 2015 Z/28 around the course that will host the Belle Isle Grand Prix in late May, and a display of vehicles from nearly 50 years of the car’s existence.
The catch? One must register online to attend the free event, with priority given to Camaro owners.

I like the Camaro, but I wonder if they made the windows a bit larger? The car a bit lighter? A bit smaller?

Judging from what I’ve seen around the net the new Camaro looks to be a bit smaller and lighter at least

That rendering looks great and the actual car is hopefully just as good. More BRZ/FRS and less fifth gen, in a good way. Smaller, lighter and nimbler is a step in the right direction though I am worried it could backfire big time. The fifth gen was none of the above but sold in great numbers.
Damn, I don’t own any Camaros anymore. Pretty cool way to unveil the car an engage the loyalists.
How have there been so few generations? Only five so far?
If you asked me how many Camaro models there had been over the years, I’d guess at least eight to nine.
Hopefully it will be more attractive than the cane toad it is now.
Don’t car for the current Camaro because I have never liked the original. I’d rather have a Firebird, especially in ’69. The 2nd Gen split bumper, now that’s a car!
