I do like the looks of the Chinese Parade Car, a retro British feel. The V12 seems an overkills for a vehicle that drives around at a walking pace most of it’s life.
After a quick search this vehicle is based on the Toyota Crown. I don’t know which Crown platform.
The Beskid is actually quite an innovative vehicle for 1983, especially coming from behind the Iron Curtain. Gutterless roof, modern aerodynamics. I think Audi was the first manufacturer to offer gutterless roofs in the early/mid 80s.
The Wiki page on the Toyota Crown Majesta mentions FAW built a small number of S200 (2009-2013) platform cars. So either that or the previous (S180) generation.

The Monteverdi Sierra thread on BaT really shows how much that site has degenerated. Not one comment shows the slightest bit of knowledge about the car, or cars in general (no more than a quick web search will get you). Just a bunch of old tossers trying to be funny. And failing.
It seems like only a couple years ago that the majority of comments came from people with actual experience in the listed car. Now the same 5 guys keep repeating the same 5 jokes on every post.
I feel like that car is very overpriced, by the way. It doesn’t look interesting enough outside or in to warrant that kind of money. You could get a nice old Quattroporte or something else rare instead.
It’s probably overpriced, but there may be a completionist Monteverdi collector out there who’s considering it.

I would drive the hell out of that Hongqui sedan! And I would remove the little horizontal chrome bars from the back, because they look poor. Otherwise, it’s all good – even the very Asian take on wood panel.

You triggered a memory for me, and I believe you’re right. I couldn’t find any documentation or images when I searched before.
“Before International folded, the rather obscure Swiss luxury brand Monteverdi made luxury SUVs based on the Scout – the thinly-disguised Sahara, and more bespoke Safari. These were popular among wealthy Italians who took them skiing in the alps, as well as Saudi oil barons who blasted along open desert. The idea of an upmarket SUV was rather ahead of its time and the International provided a solid base, but the Monteverdis are, of course, another story.”
