Hourly employees at FCA’s stamping facility in Sterling Heights and parts operation in Warren, Michigan aren’t exactly thrilled with the deal they’ve been presented.

According to The Detroit News, more than half of hourly workers at the two locations have voted “no” to the new contract.

At Sterling Stamping, 61 percent of skilled trades and 57 percent of production line workers voted “no” on the deal. Mopar workers voted 52 percent (skilled trades) and 65 percent (production) against the contract.

Salaried workers are voting in favor of the deal in Kokomo, though no numbers have been provided. At the same location, casting employees voted 59 percent against the contract.

The union negotiating team could go back to FCA for further negotiation, GM or Ford could be picked as the prime target, or workers could strike.

Voting on the proposed contract will continue over the weekend.
