This weekend coming is supposed to be dedicated to our Headdress-in-Chief Sajeev Mehta as he celebrates his 10-year anniversary with TTAC. Unfortunately, a lot of things have happened since announcing our shindig, and we have to postpone it to a later date.
That might actually work to everyone’s benefit though.
If you haven’t heard already, Sajeev is battling Stevens-Johnson Syndrome issues so he can’t enjoy the local swill. I’ve also been having some issues in the background and will be in better shape to celebrate Sajeev’s 10-year milestone later in the year. We’re hoping for sometime in late April or early May.
With the extra time comes a chance to plan a bigger event and for Sajeev to hopefully complete one of his projects for your viewing pleasure. That’s our silver lining.
Sorry if you made plans to meet us this weekend and we threw a wrench into it all. But the wait will be worth it. I promise.

Here’s to hoping Sajeev makes a speedy recovery, and that your issues – whatever they are – resolve well.
I will enjoy the shindig from afar.
Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. I just raced through the Mayo Clinic article on Stevens-Johnson:
http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/stevens-johnson-syndrome/basics/definition/con-20029623
and it doesn’t sound like fun. Sounds like the cause could be genetic (I assume Sajeev is of Indian descent). Anyway, I hope for a speedy recovery, and I’ll some prayers, too. Hang in there, Sajeev.
Oh, crap. Here’s to a quick and full recovery.
I do not recommend visiting the Wikipedia page on Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. Nasty stuff. Get well soon Sajeev!
I sadly went to Wikipedia before reading the comments. Nasty indeed. Glad to hear Sajeev is on the mend.
Wow, I had to look it up. I hope your case isn’t as bad as the ones online. I also wish you a speedy recovery.
Thank you all for the kind words. That said I’m mostly healed, it’s just the last bit of recovery that’s taking the longest.
FWIW, I discussed the worst of it over a year ago:

I read that SJS can lead to malaise. And for a car enthusiast I cannot think of a worse fate.
Glad you have made it thus far without the application of 5mph bumpers or performance choking emission controls. Emit away, my friend!
You can never get enough Malaise.
I’m a little late to the (lack of) party, but glad to see that you are recovering and back in the saddle.
Be well! I like both of you people.
Stevens-Johnson is serious stuff. Hope Sanjeev rides it out safely.
It’s a shame that Sanjeev didn’t die a painful death from SJS. Its unfortunate that Sanjeev’s SJS was caught before it really got bad.
Glad to see that you have kept your sense of humour. Get well.
Sajeev is Indian?
Feel better, oh great appreciator of brown cars and other oddimobiles!
Very sorry to hear that Sajeev and here’s to a speedy recovery!
OTOH you owe me a beer because now I have to spend more holiday time with my in-laws.
Done, son.
I don’t know who this Sajeev character is, but as long as Sanjeev is ok I see no cause for concern.
Seriously though, from one (naturalized) Texas to another, get well soon Sajeev! You too Mark.
I hope you’re in complete remission soon. No one else but you and your alter ego understands the air suspension of the FN 10 or the foibles of convertible tops on GT’s. Maybe the antibiotics will allow you to shed that Merkur fixation? No, that would probably require 100 joules.
