Christmas and New Year’s are upon us, and that means we’re gonna be off Monday and Tuesday each of the next two weeks, and with light posting in between.
What does that mean? Here’s how it’s gonna go…
We won’t be working on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day, but we may have some pre-planned posts popping up for you to read as you suck down the last of the eggnog. For the week between Presents Day and Hangover Day, we’ll be posting, but at around half-speed. Junkyard Find will move to Wednesday, December 26th and Wednesday, January 2nd for your perusal, before returning to Mondays on January 7th.
We’ll be back at full steam on the 2nd of January, rocking and rolling into the next year. Celebrate responsibly, go easy on the eggnog, don’t shoot your eye out, don’t leave your kid alone when you fly to France, and whatever you do, don’t hop in a dumpy RV and kidnap your cranky Scrooge of a boss just to make your cousin-in-law happy.

Days off? Geez, what kind of slackers are you guys?
Not me. They keep me chained to a computer desk in a basement in the Detroit area.
I thought that was voluntary, while you look for over-Achievas. Lol
I’m showing up Christmas Day to cover for a profoundly religious minion who couldn’t wrangle any other way to attend mass or whatever Protestants call it. We’re in emergency services.
His aspie well-being is worth it to me and the irony of my abetting religious fervor is delicious.
What automotive delights do you have planned for us Christmas Day?
Merry Christmas everyone.
May our gas tanks be full, our tires have air, and the road be clear in front of us, with little law enforcement! Let’s be safe out there!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!
May you have a Christmas Day pleasant enough to get the motorcycle out.
(White Christmasses are overrated.)
Or drive the Miata with the top down.
Makes me want one of those new Honda S660s. I’d take a trip to the mountains JUST to drive it around, haha!
A few years ago we has 70 degree Christmas. Top down on the Vette, Santa hats on, we drove around for fun. While it was fun, I’d take a nice 25 degree white Christmas anytime. Since snowy Christamases are becoming so rare in these parts, I’ll take the snow!
Merry Christmas to all!
I don’t know where you are, but if it’s snowy Christmases you like come to Wisconsin, although none predicted this Christmas :(
We’ve had one the last couple years in Northwest Ohio, and the drive last year to my Mom’s family north of Detroit just SUCKED! Good traveling weather, and low gas prices! Love it!
I assume you’ll be driving from one family gathering to another, as I will be. You have my sympathies, but I hope you enjoy the drive.
Merry Christmas from foreign shores and distant lands! Remember those not able to be home…
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you spend it well.
We are having a big cookout, and I’m really looking forward to that. My cousin is going to do a turkey breast, so that’s good for me as I dont eat pork and most of my family usually cooks a ham, lol. That and I asked my friend (cousin’s step daughter) to make chicken and dressing, she made it on Thanksgiving and it was amazing.
After Christmas, I’m going to start putting the engine in the GMC (with my cousins help). It arrived yesterday. Looking forward to getting that truck on the road. Hopefully I can take the truck on the next job and leave the Taurus at home. Will be good to get my tools out of its trunk, too, lol. Then I can finally start the interior restoration on the car without fear of ruining it by having to take it to work.
Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.
Merry Christmas!
Santa. What a disgrace!
@pdog_phatpat….I see what you did there ! : )
Anyway …Cold.. but no snow here on the North shore of Lake Ontario.
Merry Christmas to all.
We had near 2 foot of snow here 2 weeks ago in the Midwest. Looks like another moving in on Wed. Temps havent been unbearably cold though. Just got new tires on the rwd only truck. Yay!
How about a feature on the cars of Christmas past? ;-)
I’m driving one! My car was sold new in December of 1994.
So, you’ve got someone’s Christmas Taurus?
MY Christmas Taurus.
