It’s about time to celebrate America’s independence.
Which means fireworks, booze (don’t drink and drive), and barbecues.
Or in my case, NASCAR.
It also means TTAC is shutting down early today and is off Monday. You may or may not see a stray post here and there, but otherwise, we’re back to the blog grind Tuesday.
Stay safe, stay cool, and see you then.

Living in FL means I’ll spend much of this holiday weekend watching the tropics (Hurricane Elsa). Got IndyCar and F1 as long as the satellite doesn’t lose signal due to rain/wind/power related issues.
Happy Fourth of July, all you Americans. Even the orange-hued ones.
Happy 4th, y’all!
Wish I could blow some s**t up, but you can’t buy real fireworks in Colorado unless you drive to Wyoming and spend way too much money.
I’ll just have to comfort myself with gawking cars at the Golden Super Cruise, which is BACK ON, thank God!
This marks the last week of full time work from home. I go back in on Wednesday and work 3 days a week from the office from now on.
Not sure what I’m going to do without having hours of YouTube documentaries filling the silence all afternoon.
Oh well, better enjoy the long weekend. See you all back here next week.
Happy Canada day too.
Happy July 4 ..U.S.A !!!
Hey Tim, Where is the excitement about saying 4th of July Celebration is $0.16 cheaper this year. https://www.newsweek.com/white-house-boasts-cookouts-are-16-cents-cheaper-this-year-internet-isnt-impressed-1606210
So what if Gas Prices are highest since Obama/Biden in 2014. (Actual Car related Content).
Oh boy we saved $0.16 over last year’s highly inflated prices so we are still way above the cost of the 2019 version.
COVID oil surpluses laid the ground work for today’s higher gas prices. Oil producers cut back because of low crude oil prices when demand was low. Now that petro demand is up, so are the prices. Nothing to do with politics, just economics. Not much of an issue to me as I have cut my driving annual mileage by 80%. Plus I don’t drive a over sized pickup or SUV.
Happy 4th! Agree the oil prices are because oil producers cut back and a shortage of drivers. There is plenty of oil but not enough refinery capacity and drivers. I will be going back to the office as well after September 30.
How about you do some house keeping and clean up your staff and bring back Bertel Schmitt and/or Baruth or some of the other writers that used to make this site entertaining.
Yeah, yeah bring them back! Save TTAC again!
Make TTAC Great Again!
Agreed, there isn’t much to feed on these days. We’re also missing some of the best comments from previous users like DeadWeight.
All things considered, we should have become a province of Canada.
Once they open their border again, don’t let the door hit you on your kiester on the way out.
is Art Vandelay an adult?
Yep, just not a $#ithead like you
But show us your adultness by calling some more folks goobers
HEY TIM
How about an update on Lordstown Motors?
A lot has happened since June 18
-Lordstown week – not even a peep (or a regurgitated article from another source)from TTAC
-Revelation that executives sold stocks before the quarterly report
-DOJ investigation
I mean we all know that they are going to die but it’s nice to see the train wreck actually happen
