You may have noticed a bit of text at the end of our posts lately asking you to sign up for our newsletter.
Well, we’d love it if you signed up. Twice a week or so you’ll get inboxed with a collection of 4-5 stories you may have missed, giving you a chance to read them. Or re-read them, if you already have and you enjoyed them the first time around.
There are already over 1,000 of you subscribed, but it would be great if you joined the party and you aren’t already registered.

I would rather see unmasking story.
My Inbox is already inundated with stories I wisely missed and offers that I always refuse. So I invariably click on “Unsubscribe” button when see one. I you have one I can do it right way.
I had signed up years ago and have started receiving the newsletters again (I haven’t signed up recently). I don’t mind, I clicked on a couple of stories already.

I truly wouldn’t mind signing up for your TTAC Newsletter… but I’ll pass on having my e-mail inbox bombarded and blasted with such as this –
“Receive exclusive discounts and offers that are unique to our eBlast subscribers from TheTruthAboutCars.com and it’s promotional partners.”
On a given day, I receive sufficient of that type crappola already… and in this case, such participation evidently isn’t optional!!!
So… I’ll give it a “Mehhh”… and “hey, I gotta go… the dog wants out… and the cat wants in…” :-)
Unfortunately I have to agree. Vertical Scope isn’t making this feature available out of a concern that I be well-informed about matters automotive. It’s a way of harvesting e-mail addresses for resale. And given the likelihood that zero vetting is being done on the eager buyers, I’ll pass.

Yeah but when we signed up for the account we weren’t giving permission to be spammed like apparently is part of signing up for the newsletter.

Burners are a wonderful thing… and they exist for precisely this reason.
This is true. I have two old Hotmail accounts strictly for that purpose. I use whichever one I think of first in the moment.
Great more spam emails regarding boner pills and foreign women who want me.

I’m retired.
I have given up email…..permanently. No texts either. I prefer people just call me (you know, the “phone” thing).
I’d be happier if I could get emails about comments. That hasn’t worked in years and I usually have to decide if I care enough to go back and see if there are interesting responses.
Otherwise, I don’t care for newsletters. Since I don’t open them they eventually end up rerouting autotragically to spam.
Its a shame there isn’t a place on the internet where someone could go to find all those stories in one place without having to check their email first…
