Hey all,
As per usual, we’re going mostly silent for the next few days so that we can stuff our faces with turkey and watch a lot of (bad) football.
There will be some posts, most likely the sponsored stuff that helps pay bills, along with any news that happens to break over the, uh, break.
It’s been a slow week, as it usually is, but we will be back rolling on Monday. Until then, gather safely, don’t drink and drive, and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, all. May Wolford Brimley’s face be at the bottom of each dessert plate you clear.
I expect my Thanksgiving to be “full-filling,” and hope everyone’s is the same!
Bad football?? Are you implying tomorrow’s game between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears will be anything but pivotal? It’s probably just a coincidence that it will be the earliest of the 3.
I fully expect some kind of horrendous news dump over the next few days. Like BMW is canceling the 7 Series or that Ford is starting a Takata-style airbag recall.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone but turkeys.
I don’t know much about sports, but it looks like the Detroit Lions are off to a very strong start this season.
Football? That’s what soccer is called on the rest of the planet.
Does Canada belong to the rest of the planet? Quebec? To me football looks like an American equivalent of Rugby.
@Inside Looking Out – You got me there. American/Canadian football has similarities to rugby. Rugby is a much tougher sport.
Well as usual, I was way too hard on the Fords. Spartans led for much of the first half, which is what counts – probably.
(It is always nice to see a female-owned team win.) [Bonus: another reason to avoid baseball.]
Dear Ford,
When the Fords pay the Fords for Ford Motor Company naming rights for Ford Field, how does that work? Do they schedule a family dinner and hand over an oversize check? (How many attorneys are present? Do they get fed?)

@Toolguy: It is the same question to ask why Brits tolerate the royal family and why British did not join American and French revolutions.
“why British did not join American and French revolutions.”
Um… The American Revolution was against the British.
Why would the British join the French Revolution? If they did, it would be a war, not a revolution.
“Why would the British join the French Revolution? ”
To replace unelected King with elected President. Romans hated the concept of kings and tyrants at least while it was a republic. English Revolution did not succeed because they did not replace monarchy with republic like progressive French and Americans did.
Happy T Day to all of us!!
May we all stay away for the good turkey and bad football.
Happy Thanksgiving, you bunch of turkeys. (And the couple of you who need the stuffing beat out of you.)
i MAY WATCH A Little of the Bills games. But, an NFL boycott is effect for me.
So.
