I’ve seen a Vette small-block stuffed into a Solstice, done by Mallet. Might this be the next step, a re-skin?
Edit: I see at Jalopnik that it’s a reskinned Vette. Not bad.
What’s wrong? Besides really, really, ugly?
meh… Take a Corvette and rip off the styling of a TVR Sagaris and here you have it. The front end looks kinda nice, but the window on the hood was lame in the ZR1 and it’s lame here. If you look at other pics of it on the interwebs, the ass-end is a bit of a disaster too.
Aside from the windows on the hood and the weird kinks in the lower part of the front clip, I think it is a nice looking car. Especially in white. But I do think it’s very derivative. You can still see the Vette, which is okay, but almost everything about it reminds me of something else.
If they are going to build a special version of the C6 Vette, why not the C3R Retro Corvette Stingray? (Rendered pics showed up around Nov 2008.) That was purty.
Absolutely everything is wrong with it- it looks like a Guido Corvette half-breed.
It’s got some attractiveness to it, but overall it just doesn’t work. At first glance it catches your attention, but when you take a closer look, you’re quickly diappointed.
What the hell– why is the Tesla Roadster equipped with Vette engines?

I think the reference is to the fact that it looks like someone took a mallet and whacked the roof on the driver’s side at the top of the windscreen and now the cab is bent out of shape.

Those things are destroying our planet, are unsafe, and are setting a bad example for our children, that’s what’s wrong with it! It’s also got really small side view mirrors.

It’s probably made of unobtainium, but I love the paint. Try to visualize it on a 70 caddy deville (tan top and interior). Not too crazy about the hole in the hood though.
So the steering wheel is what like a foot from the engine? Is there any legroom at all? Is the engine mounted backwards like in an old Saab? Maybe it is front wheel drive. If rear wheel drive then where does the propshaft run? How tall is that LSX engine?
Can a 999 hp corvette really be a redneck mobile?
I mean, Jeff Foxworthy never said you might be a redneck if you had a $300,000 sports car.
It needs some pinstripes to bring out the curves, and maybe some of those chrome door-edge moldings.

A spoiler on a pickup truck! I swear I saw one! At first, I thought a Toyonda was in the back with the spoiler sticking up over the gate, but then to my horror, I realized that this was an abomination of vehicular proportions.
And oddly fascinating, so I did what anybody would do. I took a picture with my cell phone.
