    What ammo shortage?

    Guns are just so homoerotic.

Alright, she turns me on. The girl. Shooting the guns. Nice.

But Guns are homoerotic? I sure don’t get that.

Nice guns. The weapons were hot, too.

Now I know why America is going to hell. Promoting violence between small kids, destroying cars “for fun” (well it must be one of those 2.7L sludge shitboxes anyways).

Please don’t blame Mexico, North Korea or Iraq when America self destructs.

    Yee Haa!!

And that’s why I like cars

Now I know why America is going to hell.

Actually, that’s a much better representation of why America exists in the first place. It’ll have officially “gone to hell” when we no longer have the freedom to do such things.

As for the car, too quick a death for that bloody thing.

Small correction: The Lahti AT-Rifle was not designed to destroy German tanks, it was designed to destroy Russian tanks. Doesn’t really matter, a tank is a tank, just wanted to point that out.

Also, it originally shot the 20mm Long Solothurn cartridge so it must have been rechambered for the 20×102 cartridge also used by the Vulcan. (Probably lot easier to acquire than the 20x138B).

That shoot does look like a whole lot of fun. I wonder about the lack of tracer rounds though. With everyone shooting at once aiming by hits alone would be a lot harder because everyone else is shooting. Tracers would make it easier.

Koppinen beat me to it. That’s weird because most military nuts would know that the Finns were German allies most of the war. Though gun-nut and miltary-nut do not necessarily overlap that much. The fact that it wasn’t on its original mount (or cartridge) should have clued me in.

Even without playing the video, I can see that the girl’s face and head are too close to a gun, especially a gun of that size.

We use to have an annual full auto shoot at a club that I belong to in Pennsylvania. The club owner let us shoot at junk cars until we set the club property on fire one year, and the county fire marshal came out and yelled at us. Good, clean redneck fun it was.

Here is a pic of my friend’s 9 year old boy. We taught him how to run that MG-34 — WWII German belt-fed machine gun chambered in 8mm Mauser. He was the only kid in his fourth grade class that knew how to run a belt-fed. BTW, the gun at the top of the picture is a Browning M1919 in .30-06.

No. That’s how you fire a rifle. The Lahti is a big rifle but it’s still a rifle. Check out where the sights are, in order for her to look through them, that’s where her face needs to be.

The fact that it wasn’t on its original mount (or cartridge) should have clued me in.

That mount is pretty crazy. I can understand the rechambering into something more modern. Especially as it was probably re-activated from a de-activated gun, which means all the original bits were not salvageable anyways. But the mount is just crazy. Although so is the recoil if you just fire it as intended.

That explains all of those used cars on Craigslist from Oklahoma saying “salvage title… just due to minor sheet metal damage to the nose, professionally repaired.”

This could be a great way to train the Iraqi army AND take care of the oversupply of cars on dealer lots all at the same time!

This is god damn retarded. Sorry, it’s ridiculously, hysterically sad. A bunch of fat assess shooting off guns. Yeah, it’s damn homoerotic alright. And a huge epic fail, backed by the fact that the host is the only female unit at the event.

Yes, strong language used on purpose. Why is this posted on this site again?

FWIW, I am not anti-guns. Not even for a moment. I am anti-moron, however.

Interesting about the price of ammo on the Browning A1. He claims it was 8-9 cents a round 4 years ago, now 25 cents a round.

The firearms industry has managed to whip up fear of Obama and is making a fortune on gullible edits who spend way too much on something that can be mass produced in almost infinite quantities.

Just like the price spike last year in oil… pure market manipulation.

I haven’t been to a machine gun shoot since my days in the Marine Corps infantry, and that was courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer. Alas, Reagan was President, so other than the screaming Communist hordes, all the various two-bit tinpot dictatorships were scared to death of him, so I never fired a shot in anger.

I have to celebrate our independence from the King of England by firing off a large number of rounds from several of my evil “assault rifles”. We have to stay ready for the next rebellion against our oppressive ruling class.

Oh yeah – on the Lahti – it could have been captured and rechambered by the Russians. I know even the Germans reused captured T-34 tanks.

The Russians wouldn’t have chambered it in 20×102, which is an American cartridge and wasn’t even in use at that point. It was probably sold de-activated by the Finnish military and then re-activated in the US.

Shooting guns is fun. Are men not allowed to have fun if they are overweight and there are no women around? Since this is a car blog, here is an analogy: This is the equivalent of a bunch of fellows getting together and doing lots of burnouts. Sure it’s not cerebral (to the point of being moronic), nor something that requires any skills or real effort. But it’s hell of fun.

Just like the price spike last year in oil… pure market manipulation.

Not exactly. The US military is fighting two wars. This has greatly increased demand of ammunition in the US.

If history serves, I don’t think the Russians captured too many Lahti to begin with. It was supposedly a very effective weapon.

I still think Kari Byron (from Mythbusters) did a better job than this girl. Plus is better looking.
