Curbside Classics is stuck in the seventies for one more week. But are we looking at vintage gold or malaise metal?

Is that front nubbin on an AMC Matador?
AMC Hornet (I didn’t look for a reference picture online so I am hoping I am right.)
Yeah, that’s gotta be the running/parking/turn signal of a 74-ish Matador!
I’m getting strong AMC vibes from this one as well.
Most AMC models had their directional lights in the grill, this is surrounded by body work, and obviously a stripe of some sort.
With that said, it looks similiar to the lower parking light on an old friend’s 72 GTO, but without chrome. Maybe a 72 Le Mans?
70-72 Camaro Rally Sport?
70 RS Camaro
I think poltergiest might have it…AMC is good guess too. Love these posts. Best thing on TTAC these days!
I believe that is a 1970 1/2-73 Camaro RS.
73 Camaro RS?
Definitely looks like a 1970-1973 Camaro light to me. I figure a ’70 or ’71 would have too much mainstream desirability potential for Paul to do a CC on it, and ’72s are rare because a plant strike limited production that year.
Early Chrysler Cordoba with the round lights?
Did a little Google searching, must be the Cmarao as stated above…those had the vertical chrome cross-bar while Pontiac primarily used a vertical and chrome “gunsight” piece over the lense.
Yep .. gotta go with a ’71 RS on this one.
I’ll go outside the box and say 1970 Monte Carlo.
Totally Camaro, I’ll say ’71 RS. The vertical trim across the lens and the horizontal body seam just leave no other options. Absolutely my favorite Camaro ever. This car (’70-’73) totally smokes the looks of the ’67-’69 IMO. I also think these were the best years for the Firebird.
After looking at some Google images, I agree that it’s an early 70s Camaro. I was thrown by the color scheme which looks very AMCesque.
Yeah, it must be the 71-ish Camaro.
But why can’t malaise metal be vintage gold? Big bumper’d Disco Iron are to my generation what the tailfins on the 1959 Cadillac were to boomers. Both rock.
No way! AMC Javelin or AMX.
You guys are all wrong! It’s the deflector dish from the original 1960’s starship Enterprise!
I was thinking belongs to a early(ish) 70’s Plymouth Valaint??
Camaro, 2nd gen, 70-72.
Or also could be one of these 2: Olds Cutlass or The Judge GTO.
