OK, so we pulled the Cruze wagon picture because it was a photoshopped fake [Hat Tip to Jalopnik for catching it]. So here’s a different yellow hatchback that also won’t be coming to the American market (thanks for nothing, Roger Penske and Carlos Ghosn). It’s a RenaultSport Mégane, and according to Autobild it’s a two-liter turbo four hot hatch with 250 horsepower. To be perfectly honest though, we’re not entirely sure the picture hasn’t been run through the old shop of photo.

You were never going to get this car under the Penske deal. Penske was aiming for Renault-Samsung cars (i.e the Renault Koleos). This is a straight Renault car, which shares the same platform as the Nissan Qashqai.
The yellow car in the background looks pretty good too.
The car on the back looks like a Mégane Trophy Mk. II. It is a specially built race car for one make racing series. (Similar to spec racing, I guess)

Renault is one brand with a worse reputation than Fiat in the US.
Maybe OK today, but in the ’70s & ’80s, not so much.
Ritchie628 wants it.
…in some, any, other color.
Damn that’s a sweet ride. It’s got the first set of non symmetrical rims that I’ve ever liked, which I generally find to have a cartoonish appearance.

Interesting car.
the renaultsport meganes and clios have always been awesome, best front drive hot hatches imo. if you don’t mind the reliability/build issues etc
Not sure about the colour, but Renault have a habit of producing some pretty neat hot hatches. Sadly their standard cars haven’t historically been very reliable. The range of hot Clios have always been pretty impressive though.
What is it with these cars in International Harvester yellow ? Ugh. My eyes, my eyes…
You mightn’t be getting the lovely Renault hatch but you will be getting a Cruze hatch courtesy of Holden which is penning it now for export. Sorry.
Doesn’t the Mégane share bones with the Sentra? And isn’t the Sentra, well, even in extreme states of tune a rather sad car?
As a sales guy once told a friend of mine in regards to a yellow truck. “There’s an @$$ for every seat.”
Cute little Pokemons!
