Ok, the twin-stick of the Champ/Colt was a dead giveaway. Bergwerk jumped on it first, probably more because he saw it come up first than anything to do with his dead-reckoning skills. But I’m dead certain it won’t be quite so quick today. Come on Bergwerk, let’s see if you can go knock a double with your deadly skills.
Here’s a wild guess, an AMC? Maybe a Yugo?
No Yugo I’ve ever seen. Or any AMC I can think of… I’m stumped.
The angle reminds me of the CitiCar EV, but the bumper doesn’t look right. Hmm. Tough one.
Brand new Jeep CJ wet on the showroom floor or maybe a Honda Element………… or maybe neither.
Triumph TR7
Jensen-Healey
Wow…
Bumper looks like it’s from 73
You guys are good. I wonder if this one has a Buick/Rover V8 conversion?
Damn! jrderego beat me to it – I also thought of the TR7 as soon as the picture came up.
Yugo?
It is NOT a TR7 (or a TR8) as the side light and bumper are not positioned properly.
’74 Jensen Healey.
Plymouth Turismo? or its Dodge counterpart? Challenger, yeah, that’s it.
First generation (70 – 77) Toyota Celica.
Renault Le Car? (I know it’s not a Renault, but it’s still fun to say Le Car)
Given Saab’s practically a dead brand now, I’d say a early 70s Saab Sonnet – a little sports car. A post 1973 model guessing by the bumpers.
I’m with Anthony…it’s a Saab…most likely a Sonnet III.
For some reason I’m thinking International (even though they are technically not dead, just out of the consumer/passenger market)
bumper maybe looks like a 924
It’s not a Sonnet, they were fiberglass and now that I think about it, that kinda blows my guess of a TVR Tasmin 280i out as well….I’m not even sure if TVR is dead or alive…but it was mobbed up russian , so it may have a SAAB tie in.
I’m wrong, but something screams VW Safari to me…
my guess is a Nissan Pulsar NX. don’t remember the years they nade tho.
I am going to have to go with an early AMC Gremlin
I had a Gremlin and this is not one. Unfortunately I don’t have the encyclopedic knowledge like most of the B & B to offer a good alternative.
That’s pretty obscure. Best I can come up with is a 1973 Jensen-Healey, but the arc of the panel seam doesn’t look quite right. Alas, have run out of time….
My first thought was the 3rd gen celica. However, given the dead brands theme, I am thinking Datsun 200sx or Isuzu impulse.
