Two years ago, Nissan sent a bizarre little beach buggy of a concept, called the Qazana, to the Geneva Auto Show. At the time Autoblog’s Chris Paukert called the concept that would become the Nissan Juke “so bizarre it almost looks French”… but little did anyone know the French would eventually claim the Juke’s heritage. Now, Renault, the French leg of Carlos Ghosn’s Renault-Nissan alliance is bringing their own interpretation of the compact-coupe-ute with this, the Renault Captur. Will it being searing eyeballs on the French street any time soon? Ghosn only knows…

I hate the big, overwrought wheels and I really wish this slit-window trend would stop, but otherwise I actually like it.
Do they have those hoops over at the Tire Rack yet?
I expect it will know how to parallel park itself, or those hoops are going to get a mark.
What movie character was this derived from? I wonder how those wheels would look on my Impala?
I would actually look among certain vegetation spicies for the source of inspiration of such kind. Word “poppy” comes to mind…
It is actually much better than the Juke. At least, there are “normal” headlights.
I was just thinking that this looked like the Juke in profile. With the emblem on the front it has a nose, instead of just eyes and a smile.
It might look better if the ground clearance was reduced to a few inches
