In an oddly-timed 2 am (Tokyo time) filing, The Nikkei [sub] writes that “Toyota Motor Corp. has decided to reopen most of its domestic automobile plants as early as next week to start churning out a limited number of models.”

We will treat these news items with caution and respect for a while. We recommend similar caution. We have sent an email to Toyota, and will let you know what they have to say when they say it.

So far, the latest news item on the Toyota ticker says “Toyota Family Literacy Program Marks 20 Years in U.S.”

I always like the random photos that accompany some stories here at TTAC.

You see signs like this hung outside Japanese businesses that say :
eigyou-chuu which translates to “open for business”

But this one is a takeoff which instead says:
Umasa sikomi-chuu which translates to “in process of brewing deliciousness.”
It’s an ad for Sapporo beer.

The stock bottomed out today,  should take off tomorrow on the news. No doubt this is a response to the hammering it took this week.
