Tired of the skinny of Asian motor shows? Yearning for something more substantial? Let the product specialists of the Sao Paulo Motor show demonstrate to you what’s hot in Brazil – car-wise, of course. This is the rear view of The Boss.
And this is The Boss, full frontal.
For a little less money, the Ford Fiesta.
Crosstown at Chevrolet, the Onix.
Chrysler welcomes you to the Southern Hemi-Spheres.
Gee, suddenly that Fiat 500 looks awfully small.
Maserati dominates the show.
The Honda story has got legs in Brazil.
Hyundai brought substantial offerings to Sao Paulo.
Hyundai, now with three dear warranty.
Peugeots austerity measures also affected hemlines.
Ta-ta! Until next year!

See, Bertel doesn’t disappoint!
haha… that’s a good one.
Thanks for the pictures :)
BTW, garotas FTW!!!11!!!
MUSTANG? WHAT MUSTANG???
Guuhhh….
I want to see more of those colors in the cars, versus around them. At least the 500 does offer something besides black, white and grey inside.
Actually, I was impressed with the colors at the show. There seems to be more color this time than the sea of black, grey and silver of at least the last 2 previous ones. Of course, there was the oh-so-fashionable white, but many of the launches were displayed in rich reds and almost oranges. There were also some nice blues at Hyundai and even a brown HB20. DOn’t know if this configures a trend, but I do see the makers are betting on more colors this time.
At least on the outside. In the inside, your right, only the Cincuecento offers some colors. And it is one of the reasons I like that car so much.
I’m just glad we have some color splashed on the outside of cars.
I like colors and not the muted blues, greens, and oranges that some automakers offer. I know grey/silver is popular but adding it to the above colors makes them dull.
The roads are becoming an exercise in dreariness. Hopefully people will start buying cars in more vibrant colors.
the woman demonstrating the mustang is INFINITELY more interesting than the car… front POW… rear BADDONK!!!!
Very glad I saw this BEFORE I had to go to work today.
Also reminded me of the oh so classy song: “In Love Wit Yo Booty”.
PrincpalDan: This is what I get for listening to you over at “CC”! Except for the tattoo, quite appealing, even at my “advanced” age.
Thanks, son…hey! you made me look!
Yeah bad move on Ford’s part – should have had some boring old suit up there regurgitating s laundry list.
Anyhow, thats how we like’m here in the sou… err mid-atantic. Best models in a car show by far, defintely worth dusting off the passport for a look see sometime in the future.
Don’t forget the visa. It appears the cost is $0, but the reciprocity fee is $160. I just checked as I need to renew mine.
That’s just a retaliatory stance by the Brazilian guv (which is fine in the current circumstances). Brazilians pay hundreds of dollars to visit there, so… As we are now the second biggest spenders after the Chinese as tourists in America, the US is talking about eliminating visas for Brazilians. When that happens (if), you’ll be able to get down here for free, too.
I especially like the Boss, with the T275/45 fronts and the A295/40 rears.
Would Love to “drive” it.
Why bother with the cars?
What cars?
Its just an excuse! Come on- play along!
If you feel like having some political analysis, google diosa canales elecciones 2012. Enjoy, but keep in mind the NSFW factor.
Guess I got distracted and really didn’t pay attention to her political message. Other things though she was very open and clear about!
Ahh, they just don’t jiggle the same when they’re fake. :(
I’m somewhat glad I didn’t get a chance to go to the show — my wife would have poked my eyes out (her usual threat) *LOL*.
On a more serious note, it probably would have been informative since I have a car purchase in Brazil coming up shortly (Marcel has been a great great help through my search!).
I’ll arrive to choose a car just after the tax cuts get rolled back :(
DOn’t worry Rob, they just got extended!
Definitely an all-round improvement on the Asian models.
Oh my…so much nicer than the Chinese chicks.
Thank you Bertel. My wife is part Japanese but I’m definately thinking of the Mexican part of her right now. ;)
1st give me a woman with some meat on her.
2nd if I have to choose between a nice rack and a nice butt, I’ll take the butt.
(To be completely honest though she has to be able to hold up an inteligent conversation or it doesn’t matter what she looks like.)
Pics like these bring to mind the immortal words of the Black Eyed Peas…
What you gonna do with all that junk?
All that junk inside your trunk?
I’ma get, get, get, get, you drunk,
Get you love drunk off my hump.
My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump,
My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely lady lumps
…
as meninas!
Boy, talk about 5 MPH bumpers!
We can use some higher res pics!
Yes, please.
hate the high heels. why should women be expected to walk around
in such stupid unhealthy shoes?
anybody else?
I’ve never been impressed by heels either. I had a GF who wore them all the time, and constantly complained about her feet hurting. I just rolled my eyes and said, “Then quit wearing stupid f…ing shoes!”. She didn’t like that at all. Oh well.
Women are never wrong… even when they are.
We have a wonderful Brazilian creation that, unfortunately, I don’t see represented in the pictures: the mixed Japanese-Brazilian ladies. They have beautiful faces and Brazilian body shapes. Were there any at the show, Marcelo?
Mainly at JAC and as info ladies. Not models next to cars unfortunately. Also unfortunate, at JAC the attire was jeans and a loose white JAC emblazoned JAC Motors t-shirt. Others were calling more attention!
Btw, had a gf back in the day as you describe. Easily one of if not the most beautiful lady I ever had the privilege of being with.
hot Brazilian barangas!
Uh, Bertel, the mammaries are the ***northern hemispheres***. The southern hemispheres are the derriere.
It makes sense, too: Brazil specializes in the southern hemispheres.
Now, what was I doing before I got distracted???
Booking tickets to next years Sao Paolo Auto Show in 3, 2, 1,……
This reminds me of a Kevin Nealon bit:
I opened the web page and scrolled down to see the pictures and was interested, interested, very interested, very VERY interested, and then not interested at all.
Thank you for this excellent investigative journalism.
