15 percent of traffic fines issued in Dubai every day are for driving at speeds in excess of 130 m.p.h.. That’s why Dubai’s police now has a Lamborghini Aventador that can do 216 m.p.h.
According to Emirates 24/7, Dubai’s police force cited enhanced patrolling abilities to justify its purchase of the $550, 000 dollar police car, while 7 Days in Dubai quoted a director of the police force saying that the aesthetic appeal of the car would help illustrate the city’s class.
The car has been customized for highway patrol, reported Emirates 24/7
TTAC asked its man in Dubai, Mental Ward, to have himself arrested in a super high speed chase, and to write about it, if he still can.

No carbon fiber push bar?
Isn’t this an Arab country with Sharia law, where they issue extremely harsh crimes such as cutting off your hands, etc? Why on earth would anyone risk a speeding ticket, especially if you’re not a native person?
Those laws are based on morality, and it is not immoral to speed.
Nope. UAE is extremely progressive. They get divorced here, allow liquor sales and have a genuine “this is what we do, you guys do your thing” approach to things.
What’s funnier is that Dubai is overrun with speed cameras.
If you’re in one of these, you just find some sand. Hell, just find a street with dips.

“a Lamborghini Aventador that can do 216 m.p.h.”
Pfft… my flying carpet can beat that in reverse.
New Jersey with sand.
Any chance of wrangling me a test drive? We want the “Cop Drives Cop Car” series to be as complete as possible…
Something tells me that the Aventador won’t accommodate a 12 inch console very well. And I’m not seeing a whole lot of back seat space. On the plus side, I bet the scissor door makes it easy to stuff someone in the front seat. But do they make driver/passenger partitions?
Easy to outrun – just go over a speed bump, into a driveway, through a narrow alley, or off road.
I kinda think that bolt-on lightbar is gonna’ come ripping off somewhere north of 140.
Sounds like someone’s fantasy to me. They have plenty of money in Dubai; they should just enforce speeding with a fleet of helicopters (air to ground missiles optional).
All I’d do is throw on the brakes while they are behind me at over 140 mph and the rear end of my car would decapitate them. That’ll teach em.

And you too, thank goodness.
Considering these countries don’t eat pork, I guess calling these cops PIGS is out of the question?
Here’s throwing more money than sense at a problem.
I agree. You can’t outrun radio, as they say.
Abu Dhabi has a GT-R police car, I guess they couldn’t budget as much.
Malaysia has at least two unmarked Ferrari, 458s I believe.
Next, they can get a Skyline with HICAS disabled to deal with hagwalla.
