This is apparently Daimler’s rival to the BMW X6. It’s called the Mercedes-Benz Concept Coupe. I think it looks like an ergonomic computer mouse.

I need to wash out my eyes.
Wow. It’s like a crying clown with that giant nose. Did “coupe” start meaning something else entirely all of a sudden?
Yes, in Stuttgart and Munich it means “even more expensive four-door you suckers will buy as a coupe”.
I’m not bitter.
“Coupe” (German to English translation) Ridiculously tiny interior for a four-door that even we didn’t have the balls to try and pass off as a real sedan for people with ridiculously tiny heads who don’t mind paying a ridiculous amount of money for a useless car that will quite frankly make them look um, ridiculous
No, coupe has always meant something else in Europe. Hint – it has nothing to do with the number of doors.
I thought when the Germans started applying the word “coupe” to describe four door cars it meant that the roof was lower and more rakish then the traditional four door, is that wrong?
Blame the British

“a traditional four-door coupé. The so-called coupé version featured a lowered roof line.”
That’s what I thought, so the Germans got it from the British, but since it’s a French word I think we should blame Canada… ;-) Doesn’t make sense? Either do jacked-up four-door coupes
With each new introduction in this niche, the Pontiac Aztek looks more and more ahead of its time. One wonders where GM would be if it had been more attractive and better executed?
Probably, Baconator. Check out this customized one for an idea:

Not crazy about the lowering part and those extruding pipes, but the rest looks pretty sharp…
Sure does, hard to believe it was an Aztek
Like BMW, MB would be wise not to spread their design and engineering resources too thin. Focus on fewer model in an attempt to actually make them materially superior to the competition.
It looks like a baby clown shoe.
Mercedes doesn’t have to be all things to all people.
A computer mouse?
They should have farmed out their design work to Microsoft.
Where’s the USB cable?
Wireless.
Oh. I got you. It’s a Mercedes, so yeah…
Ugh. Ugh! Uggggggggggggggggggggggghhhh!!!!!!!! What a big clumsy mess this thing is.
What’s the underlying platform? The rendering doesn’t give a good sense of scale. It looks like it could be based on anything from the CLA to the M class.
Oh, almost forgot: BAAAAAAAAAARF!
“I think it looks like an ergonomic computer mouse.” You’re too kind, Derek.
It would make a better one than the Ford GT mouse I use; but it won’t get the oohhs and aaahhs the GT gets. And yes, it is wireless.
Welp, I guess this is what cars look like now.
Sick
It’s missing the “back” button.
Looks about brilliant as Nissan’s two door murano. Old people cool.
I quite like it (and it’s target in the X6).
