This is the facelifted Toyota Auris, set to debut at the Geneva Auto Show next month. It’s also our best look at the upcoming Scion iM. For those of you looking to replace that Toyota Matrix, here you are. Check out Ronnie’s review of the Auris here.

Finally, a Toyota that interests me.
The wagon is a very attractive car. Perfect for my needs. I sat in one and was amazed at the quality and roominess.
This is just ok. It’s not going to get me to the dealership.
This will get me into the dealership, but only when our 2003 Matrix is finally used up.
I like it, but it’s entirely too mundane looking to be a Scion. Just make it a Corolla hatch already and bring back the funky JDM models for Scion.
I wonder if we’ll see a V6 or Turbo version? Sort of a Scion hot hatch?
You’ll see that around the same time you see a Turbo FR-S – on February 30.
SWEET! Only 1 more week to go!
So, Scion: will the iM be an entry-level hatch like the xA/xD?
Or will it get an engine larger than the Corolla’s 1.8L, alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, like the tC?
No… I really like the current corolla front end, so just slap that on here and and call it corolla hatch/wagon whatever like mazda does and kill off scion…
To me it just looks like a non-hybrid Lexus CT. Maybe a little bigger inside then the CT, which to me is cramped.
Not Scion material, it’s not unique. Scions are supposed to be different.
Well, different has really not helped move the metal, has it?
Isn’t this what happened to Saturn before it died? In the beginning, their cars were unique. Then they became nothing more than rebadged Opels towards the end. Seems like history is repeating.
This is a decent-looking car, but not very distinctive. That DLO has been done to death by so many car makers.
The best I could say about early Saturn is they were better in many ways than most of their domestic opposition, especially from GM. But they had some serious faults and never had the sales to justify in house development of replacement models that in all likely hood would still be below par compared to the imports. Objectively speaking the Opels were the best saturns yet and had a decent shot at keeping the brand alive.
What with Scion being less of a focused brand and more of a dumping ground for JDM model lines, it’s turning into Toyota’s Geo.
Does GM still own the rights to Asüna? Maybe it could become the Asüna Sunhatch.
Good to see that they addressed the visibility issue in the C pillar that is such a problem in modern cars.
Hopefully this gets Toyota’s corporate 2.0T as an option
I like the earlier Mazda 3-ish side profile, but the cooperate Camry face just doesn’t work with it.
Somebody has to say it, sooo…
Will there be a Brown/Stick/Diesel TTAC Edition?
Given Scion’s history of the last 5 or 6 years on any new or refreshed product that didn’t have the letters tC in the name, I’ll reserve judgement until one is actually here.
Now the fun of reading foreign reviews of the car and wondering what versions we will get-

I assume there will not be an AWD version. At least the Matrix was offered with AWD though only with the automatic.
