But at what cost!?
Very little.
I tried to click like on this.
Yeah! Woohoo! Success!!!
The what now?
I thought I heard angels singing this morning!
Is the first stage of grief pure, unbridled joy?
[Challenge: what does this reference?]
Elisabeth Kübler-Ross!
Good news!
Professor Farnsworth: Good news, everyone!

Is it the Dacia Sandero?
I have no idea of what you speak. Clearly I’m not missing anything.
You’re missing even less now!
But I wanted to like TTAC on Facebook , if I had a Facebook account, oh well progress I guess.
I come to bury Facebook, not to praise it.
I want to second that. And I mean for real!
RIP gone, but not forgotten.
I might go Like TTAC on Facebook just to celebrate
Ha!
Was just thinking I should go Like TTAC on Facebook.
But I don’t use Facebook much because I prefer even a thin veneer of anonymity on the internet. (It doesn’t have to be strong — I’m sure anyone so inclined could figure out my identity in ten minutes and I’m OK with that.)
lol, I’m not really a Facebook person, and honestly I’m not sure I know too many people who are. I’m more all about Twitter and Snap stories. Have been for a few years now. All depends on what your friends are also into I guess.
Does this mean it’s now safe to stop blocking ads on TTAC? Or is it going to be replaced with other obnoxious overlay or video or audio ads?
We aren’t replacing the overlay with anything, but we’ve received multiple reports of ads that aren’t necessarily friendly. Keep it turned on for now.
When you can tell me honestly that the ads are unobtrusive, not only will I turn it off, but I’ll click on a bunch of your ads.
*Thank You*!
Nice – now what to do with those weird video ads that auto-play ‘news-like’ content and make my computer’s fan immediately turn to ‘high’…
Install U-Block Origin in chrome or firefox.

This human has the solution.
although the facebook overlay may be dead i note that the site is still slow as hell.
You aren’t the only one.
You aren’t the only one.
Does this mean the user who goes by “LIKE TTAC ON FACEBOOK” has to delete his account?
My subtle but snarky username campaign against the popover ad has achieved success!!
(Seriously, this IS why I poked fun at the annoying ad with my moniker.)
Now I need another username… maybe “Already Liked!”
! YAY ! .
It seems odd that the site is slower now than it was before .

What the hell is a “facebook”?
It’s an electronic high school yearbook where nobody can speak proper English.
Its a catalog of faces… duh!
Then again you just might be serious?
It’s an internet ruse to disguise gathering personal data from individuals for sale to marketers by deluding the users into thinking they’re the customers instead of the product.
I felt left out because I’m not on Facebook, and could not ‘like’ TTAC.
Now you’ll have to love me for who I am, and not what I can do for you.
I rarely saw it, but to me it didn’t make much sense. “Liking” TTAC on FB puts TTAC posts in my feed, but I come here so often I’ve probably already read it :)
Facebook. Never had it, never will.
I concur.
Count me as another who doesn’t have a facebook account. And thank you TTAC for doing an… ah… about-face.
