Some of you noticed that we had a little bit of a technical snafu yesterday, and a few of you commented on Steph’s post with references to your own IT issues.
I try to read as many comments as I can, but it’s not humanly possible for me to catch them all. The same is true for the rest of our editors. Our moderators do a great job and clue us in to issues, but we’re all busy and things get missed.
That’s a long way of saying if you have IT issues — login troubles, commenting problems, whatever — you can reach out to me at thealey@thetruthaboutcars.com or editors@ttac.com (I monitor both). I can’t guarantee we can fix it — not all tech issues are on our end — but I can at least look into it, or run it up the flagpole, as they say.
We can’t fix it if we don’t know about it, so while we might catch you complaining in the comments, a quick email might get it fixed more quickly.
Also, the headline says “How to Reach Us with Issues” but that only means TTAC-related troubles. Your own emotional baggage is your burden.
Carry on.

I’m just glad you picked a stock photo of an active chem lab that actually looks plausible (clutter on the lab bench, everybody wearing appropriate PPE, some jerk with a clipboard asking inane questions).
Not really sure what it has to do with cars or IT but I’ll take what I can get.
It really doesn’t have much to do with either, I was just having a little fun with the image.
How about giving us more than 5 minutes to edit or fix a comment? I make enough goofs and I’d like more time to come across as someone with more than a second grade education in grammar! Perhaps third?
is ok we unerstan ur Sentance.
Seconded.
“I make enough goofs and I’d like more time to come across as someone with more than a second grade education in grammar! Perhaps third?”
Wow.
You should run for political office!
Well, what do you know? I had the log in to respond to this post and… it actually worked without a snag! Thank you. It’s been many, many months since that has happened for me.
How about letting BTSR back? Unless he challeng(er)ed one of the Baruth brothers; that person is probably gone.
Why? So he can not read the article in order to post first so he can promote his YouTube channel? Or post some question that was answered plainly in the article, offer an opinion on something unrelated, and tell us how every car needs to be BIGGER and HELLCAT’ed? He offered absolutely nothing except evidence that he didn’t read the article, and only posted first in order to promote himself and his YouTube series.
Besides, I doubt he was permanently banned, he probably just didn’t come back after his time out was over.
Lately when I visit site, all I can see is recycled Automotive News stories.
Check out Rare Rides. It’s all original content.

It’s a blog. Opinion pieces.
If you want real news and trends, visit Automotive News, Motorweek, Autoweek, Auto Digest, WSJ-Auto, or any of OEM-related news sites.
If you’re in the auto bidness, subscriptions are mandatory, and a write-off.
Yes, all these rental reviews and opinion pieces are obviously recycled content.

Simple solution: stop going to Automotive News!
I keep getting “no host available” error messages.
Copied and pasted:
No hosts are available for /svc/www.thetruthaboutcars.com, Dtab.base=[], Dtab.local=[]. Remote Info: Not Available
Took me 4 times to do this, assuming it works this time.
The comments section has a serious 4-5 hour lag time unless I’m logged in. Or it could be operator error in some way.
