2022 Ford F-150 Lightning

The TTAC podcast is back! In our fourth episode, we talk Ford Lightning, Kia Sportage, Formula One in Miami, and the best cars from 2007.

That’s right, four segments for the price of three! Meaning you get more bang for your buck out of our already free podcast.

I’ll cop to a couple of brain cramps in this one — I called it our fifth episode, but it’s just our fourth, and I referred to all-terrain tires on the 2023 Kia Sportage as all-seasons. My bad.

Goof ups aside, give it a listen — we promise not to waste an hour of your time. We’re still efforting certain platforms, but the TTAC podcast is available on most podcast-hosting platforms.

Or, you know, you can just click here.

Happy listening!

The F150 Lightning is actually pretty impressive, and this is coming from someone who, in 60 years, has never owned a Ford nor owned a pick up truck. They were smart for including two relatively large power inverters for supplying AC operated tools, appliances, or even home backup.

Kudo’s to Ford for building it. It appears they designed, engineered & manufactured a very nice electric PU truck. I like the fact that it pretty much looks like an ICE F150. I think that was smart move on Ford’s part. The biggest thing holding it back is todays current battery tech.

I suspect it may be a no brainer for commercial fleet use. May make a lot of sense for farmers as well. For guys like me that use their truck to regularly tow the toys long distances into rural areas it will fall short far too often to be considered a practical alternative to an ICE powered PU.

Regardless, I’m anxious to see how well these sell and to who they sell to.
